The character of Francesca Bridgerton has been recast by Netflix following the departure of Ruby Stokes.

The actress Hannah Dodd will replace Ruby Stokes, who left the show for the upcoming show Lockwood & Co on Netflix.

Hannah recently portrayed Sophie Whitehouse, a college version of Sienna Miller's character, in the Netflix series.

Moreover, she will appear in Millie Bobby Brown's upcoming Enola Holmes movie, as well as the miniseries Flowers in the Attic: The Origins.

Her new role will be Francesca, described by Netflix as a bit of a mystery within her talkative, extroverted family.

When it comes to social affairs, she has a reserved nature, but is also endowed with a dry wit and

a pragmatism that confound the fickle ton, yet, yet, seems to draw attention when it is least desired.

Before her departure, Ruby filmed the first three episodes of Bridgerton's second season. It is true that the cast and crew will miss Ruby, but they have welcomed Hannah with open arms.
