Narendra Modi is the current Indian Prime Minister and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), born on 17th September 1950 in Vadnagar, Bombay State (Now, Gujarat), India. His full name is Narendra Damodardas Modi, holding the positing of Prime Minister since 2014. Modi is a member of the Bharatiya Janta Party.
He is the first Prime Minister who won two times consecutively outside of the Indian National Congress. From 2001 to 2014, he held the position of Chief Minister of Gujarat.

Career
Modi was appointed as a general secretary of the Gujarat Lok Sangharsh Samiti between 1975 to 1977. In 1978, he became an RSS Sambhag Pracharak. Modi again returned to electoral politics in 1994. Modi was selected as a BJP National Secretary in 1995 then transferred to New Delhi. Due to some health issues, Narendra Modi replaced Keshubhai Patel as Chief Minister of Gujarat on 3rd October 2001. On 24th February 2002, Modi entered the assembly by winning the election. He remained in the position of Chief Minister of Gujarat till 2014.

In 2013, Modi enrolled his name for the post of Prime Minister in the 2014 Lok Sabha election. Numerous people who voted for the BJP stated that if Modi had not been the prime-ministerial candidate, they would have voted for another party.
During the election campaign, Modi got a huge response from the young Indians. On 26 May 2014, Modi was sworn in as the Prime Minister of India. During his first three years as a Prime Minister, he repealed a total of 1301 laws. Modi also started a radio program named Mann Ki Baat. He put more emphasis on digitalization.
On 30th May 2019, Modi was again sworn in as Prime Minister of India. He launched many schemes to help poor people.

Under the PM Kishan Scheme, 17100 Crores transfer to 8.55 Crore farmer’s bank account
On Sunday [09.08.2020], Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the help amount of 17 thousand 100 crores to 8.55 crores farmers of the country under the Agricultural Infrastructure Fund of 1 lakh crores. This amount went directly to the accounts of farmers. This amount is the second installment of assistance given under the PM Kisan Scheme. The Prime Minister today launched the new Agricultural Infrastructure Fund, which provided assistance of 1 lakh crores through video conference. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar & Senior Officials of the Ministry were present on this occasion.
